DMCA & Intellectual Property Policy

Last Updated: October 2026

At Lairuela (accessible via https://lairuela.com), this policy explains who owns the content on this website, what you may do with it, and how to tell us if you believe material here infringes a copyright.

Product photographs, descriptions and the pages you are reading took work to produce, and we respect that the same is true of other people's work. This page sets out both halves of that: how our content may be used, and how we respond to a claim that something here should not be.

By using our website, you agree to the terms below. If you have a question about using our content or about a notice, email us at [email protected] and we will be glad to help.

Personal useViewing, printing and sharing links are allowed
Commercial useRequires written permission
Infringement noticesBy email with the six items in section 4
Counter-noticesBy email with the six items in section 6

1. Ownership of Content

The text, photographs, graphics, page layouts and the Lairuela name on this website are owned by Lairuela or used with permission from their owners. They are protected by United States copyright and trademark law.

2. Permitted Personal Use

You are welcome to view the site, print pages for your own reference, save product images to compare with items you own, and share links to any page. Reproducing content on another website, in a listing or in advertising needs our written permission first; ask by email and we usually answer within a few days.

3. Respect for Third-Party Rights

We do not knowingly use text or images that belong to someone else without permission. Where a supplier provides photographs, we use them under the terms the supplier grants. If you believe we have made a mistake, the notice process below is the quickest way to tell us.

4. Submitting a DMCA Notice

If you own a copyright, or are authorized to act for the owner, and believe material on this website infringes it, send a notice to [email protected] containing:

  1. Your name, mailing address and email address.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  3. The URL or a precise description of where the material appears on this website.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

5. What Happens Next

We review every complete notice promptly. Where the claim appears valid, we remove or disable access to the material and notify the person who provided it, giving them a copy of the notice. If the notice is incomplete we reply asking for the missing items rather than ignoring it.

6. Counter-Notices

If material you provided has been removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to [email protected] containing:

  1. Your name, mailing address and email address.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or for Hartford County if you are outside the United States.
  5. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We forward the counter-notice to the original complainant. If they do not notify us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, the material may be restored.

7. Repeat Infringers

Where someone repeatedly provides infringing material, we end their ability to provide content to this website.

8. Misrepresentation

Under Section 512(f) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for the resulting damages and costs. Please be certain of a claim before you send it.

9. Changes to This Policy

This page may be updated from time to time, and the date at the top shows the current version.
