Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
At Lairuela (accessible via https://lairuela.com), this policy explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can control them.
A shopping cart that remembers the skirt you added two pages ago depends on a cookie, and so does the size you picked. Beyond that, we keep cookie use light and describe it here in plain terms.
By continuing to use our website, you agree to the use of cookies described below. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we will be glad to help.
Cookies at a Glance
| Topic | Summary |
|---|---|
| Essential cookies | Cart, checkout, security; always on |
| Optional cookies | Preferences, analytics, marketing; can be disabled |
| Third parties | PayPal, analytics provider |
| Your control | Browser settings, see section 5 |
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognize your browser on the next page or the next visit, which is how a cart stays full while you keep browsing. Cookies cannot run programs or read other files on your device.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keep the cart, complete checkout, protect against fraudulent submissions | Session to 2 days |
| Functional | Remember sizes, filters and display settings between visits | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Count visits and pages viewed so we can see which pages help and which confuse | Up to 24 months |
| Marketing | Measure whether an ad or email led to a visit; set only if you accept them | Up to 12 months |
3. Third-Party Cookies
PayPal sets cookies during checkout to secure the payment and prevent fraud; those cookies are governed by PayPal's own policy. Our analytics provider sets cookies that report visits to us in aggregate. Neither party receives your order contents from us through cookies.
4. How Long Cookies Last
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay for the period shown in the table above or until you delete them. We review the list periodically and remove cookies we no longer need.
5. Managing Cookies
Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies: in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge the controls sit under Settings, then Privacy. You can also set the browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you before one is stored. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will not work, so you would need to allow them again to place an order; blocking the optional types has no effect on ordering.
6. Changes to This Policy
We update this page when the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows the current version.
7. Cookie Questions
If you want to know exactly which cookies are set on a given page, ask and we will list them.
