At Lairuela (accessible via https://lairuela.com), these terms govern your use of this website and every purchase made through it. They describe what we commit to when you order, what we ask of you in return, and how disagreements are resolved.

Most of what follows is the ordinary legal frame around buying a skirt or a cardigan online. We have tried to write it so it can be read in one sitting, with the parts that affect your money and your order set out plainly rather than buried.

Terms at a Glance

2. About the Business

Lairuela sells women's midi skirts and lightweight cardigans through this website and operates from Glastonbury, Connecticut. Contact details are in section 20.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, and orders ship to street addresses in the United States. By ordering, you confirm that the details you give us are accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method you select.

4. Products

Everything we sell is new, ready-made stocked inventory. Listings describe each item's fabric, closures and flat measurements as accurately as we can, and photographs are checked against a sample before going live; small differences in color between a screen and the item in hand can still occur. Availability is not guaranteed until an order has shipped, and if an item sells out between your order and processing we tell you right away and refund it in full.

5. Pricing

All prices are in US Dollars and may change without notice; a change never affects an order already confirmed. Where a price is an obvious error, such as a missing digit, we will contact you before processing with the correct price and the option to cancel for a full refund. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where applicable.

6. Orders and Acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We send an order confirmation by email, and the order is accepted when it ships and the shipping confirmation goes out. We may decline an order before that point, for example where payment does not clear, an item is unavailable or the shipping address cannot be served; if that happens, we email you and refund anything charged.

7. Payment and Billing

Payment is taken in full at checkout through PayPal's gateway and appears on your statement once. If a payment fails, no order is created and nothing is charged; you can simply try again. Should you ever query a charge with your bank or card issuer, email us first: we cooperate fully with any chargeback inquiry and in nearly every case a refund through us is faster than a dispute. 8. Shipping

Rates, handling times, transit estimates and what happens when a box is lost or damaged are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are estimates; the remedies in that policy, not a guaranteed date, are what we commit to.

9. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, and cancellations and order changes by our Cancel & Change Order Policy. Both form part of these terms.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its operation, to attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to copy its content for commercial use. We may suspend access where these terms are breached.

11. Intellectual Property

The text, photographs, graphics and layout of this website belong to Lairuela or are used under license. You may view and print pages for personal use. Any other use needs our written permission, and claims of infringement are handled under our DMCA & Intellectual Property Policy.

12. Third-Party Links

Links to other websites, including carrier tracking pages and PayPal, are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, this website and its content are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind beyond those stated in these terms and our policies. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lairuela is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or of any item bought through it. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Lairuela against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the website.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by email is subject to the courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut.

17. Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version, and orders already placed are governed by the terms in force at the time of the order.

19. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the policies named in section 1, are the whole agreement between you and Lairuela for your use of this website.
